Ciku Construction Services were awarded the contract at 55 Regent Street directly from the Crown Estates, the building was formerly a large clothes outlet called The Sting. Our contract was to remove all the services which meant liaising with the current building manager and utility companies to co-ordinate service cut offs and diversions due to the floors above our works staying live, we also soft stripped the building back to its shell across the shops three floors, the basement, ground floor and mezzanine floor.
This project was a logistical challenge to Ciku Construction Services as the site is situated right on top of Piccadilly Circus which is very busy both for traffic and pedestrians alike.
We successfully applied to Westminster City Council to form a loading bay at the mouth of Regent St and with controlled pedestrian management we successfully completed the works on programme and to budget.
